Updated: Feb 22, 2019

Family Gras is bringing three incredible headliners to Jefferson Parish in February 2019 and raising the curtain on their new location at the Clearview Center for their 12th edition of the fun, family-friendly music festival!

ABOUT THE FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Family Gras is a free outdoor event with performances by national and local artists. With past performers like Cyndi Lauper, The Beach Boys, Fifth Harmony, the Pointer Sisters, Zac Brown Band, The Monkees, Becky G, Jesse McCartney and so many more, Family Gras offers a variety of talent so the entire family can enjoy!

Enjoy free music right after your favorite Metairie parades roll through. Also, you have the opportunity to purchase food, drinks, and crafts from local vendors inside of the fest. Also, stop by their kid's court for kids aged 12 and under for face painting and interactive games.

On Friday, February 22, 2019, Family Gras will be open to the public from 5 p.m. until 11:15 p.m. On Saturday, February 23, 2019, the fest is open from 1 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. On the last day, Sunday, February 24, 2019, Family Gras is open from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

2019 HEADLINERS

Platinum-selling country sensation Brett Eldredge, Grammy Award winner Michael McDonald, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee John Oates will be headlining the 12th annual edition of Family Gras in its new Clearview Center concert venue on February 22, 23, and 24, 2019!

JOHN OATES

John Oates, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and one half of the duo Hall & Oates will perform on Friday, February 22 following the Krewe of Excalibur. Oates is a singer/songwriter who co-wrote many of the Top 10 songs (with Hall) including:  "Sara Smile” and "She's Gone". Oates also co-wrote “You Make My Dreams" and "Maneater". Oates will be performing Hall & Oates favorites as well as songs from his most recent solo album Arkansas. You may have seen John Oates recently in the Big Easy when Hall & Oates along with Train stopped at the Smoothie King Center on their recent tour!

MICHAEL MCDONALD

Saturday will close out with five-time Grammy award winner, Michael McDonald. McDonald will take the stage following the Krewe of Caesar (one of my personal favorite Metairie parades). An American singer, songwriter, keyboardist and record producer whose career spans more than 45 years, McDonald just released his first studio album in over nine years, Wide Open. McDonald was an integral member of Steely Dan before later joining the Doobie Brothers. McDonald sang the lead vocals on some of the band's best-known songs such as "Takin' It to the Streets", "Minute by Minute", and "What a Fool Believes" which became a No. 1 single in the U.S. and earned him a 1980 Grammy Award for Song of the Year along with co-writer Kenny Loggins!

BRETT ELDREDGE

The 2014 CMA New Artist of the Year, Brett Eldredge will be closing out Family Gras 2019 following the inaugural Krewe of Kings on Sunday, February 24th. At 31 years old, Eldredge is a freight-train of momentum singing progressive country with a mix of classic pop and soul. Recently, he was featured on NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center special, ABC’s The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration and he will take the stage once again for CMA Country Christmas on ABC Network on December 10.
